The Etherio Group, a Boca Raton-based collection of meeting and event management brands,  has acquired Meeting Expectations, based in Atlanta. The Etherio Group was formed in January 2021 when MeetingAdvice, Global Meeting and Incentives, ABC Global Services (a hotel consortia program), CCRA International (providing 24/7 after-hours call center services to TMCs and travel agencies) and Matchstick Creative (a digital marketing agency) united under single ownership. The company is now poised, according to an announcement,  “to provide the most customer-centric meeting planning, incentive, logistics and sourcing solutions available to the market.” Founded in 1992 by company president Jalene Bermudez, Meeting Expectations is a full-service meeting and incentive travel management provider serving the US corporate market. In addition, the company’s association management business currently leads more than a dozen nonprofits, trade associations and technology user groups. Eric Altschul, CEO of Etherio Group, said that together the company’s brands “are positioned to provide an unmatched level of service and expertise not only in meetings management, but also in association management.”
