Business travelers are becoming more health-conscious on the road, according to research from CWT. The TMC’s recent report showed that among business travelers 38 percent are eating healthier, 26 percent are working out and only 7 percent do not maintain their wellness regimes. Regionally, travelers from the Asia-Pacific are more likely to work out more while abroad compared with travelers from the Americas and Europe. CWT’s research also shows that hotel exercise rooms and equipment are the most common way for business travelers to adhere to their health and wellness routines (49 percent), followed by hotel swimming pool (40 percent) and in-room hotel equipment such as yoga mats and stationary bikes (27percent.) Niklas Andreen, CWT’s chief traveler experience officer, said that “being in tune with what matters to your employees is indispensable for retaining and attracting the best talent.”
