Amtrak is updating its app to make booking and travel management “effortless,” according to the rail line. Version 4.0 makes booking faster and easier, allowing customers to more effectively ticket, change and monitor travel while they are on the go, according to an announcement. The updated app: saves credit card information for quick checkout (up to three cards); offers redemption of Amtrak Guest Reward points;  allows editing of profile information


including contact information, payment options, discounts, coupons and vouchers; and provides the ability to purchase parking where available. Richard Anderson, CEO, said that every minute counts for riders and the improvements made to the app will help improve customer experience while providing easy access to important travel information and station amenities.
