Turkish Airlines is resuming its stopover service, which provides a one-night stay in Istanbul in a four-star hotel for economy class passengers and two nights in a five-star hotel for business class passengers, payable with a hotel voucher that is issued after the ticket purchase. The deal is available to travelers with a stopover of 20 hours or more. In addition, passengers have the option of extending their stays at contracted hotels with prices starting at $49 nightly. According to an announcement, the offer was launched in 2017 and was used by more than 57,000 transfer passengers from 42 countries before it was paused during the pandemic. Bilal Ekşi, the carrier’s general manager, said the purpose of the promotion is to allow customers to experience Turkish hospitality and the unique wonders of Istanbul. Travelers can also increase the length of their initial free accommodations, said Ekşi, with advantageous prices at contracted hotels, to discover even more of the city. Turkish has a fleet of 372 aircraft (passenger and cargo) flying to 334 worldwide destinations in 329 cities in 128 countries.
