Turkish Airlines has signed a deal with American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) that expands its existing collaboration with Amex GBT to a global scale. Previously the carrier had a regional partnership with Amex GBT that included North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific. Now South America has been added as part of an effort to create a common strategy on a global level as well as increase the relationships between the managements of the two companies. Additional improvements within this new partnership include the promotion of Turkish Airlines’ brand awareness and perception within the Amex GBT organization, top level participation in all global events organized by Amex GBT, increased visibility of Turkish Airlines in Amex GBT’s communication channels, acquiring new corporate customers through joint data analysis studies, and promotion of sales activities. M. Ilker Ayci, Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, said, ~With this new agreement, which existed on a regional scale and now expanded globally, we aim to increase our market share in the corporate travel segment and become the preferred airline for business travelers worldwide.”
