SkyTeam, the global airline alliance, will open two new branded lounges by the end of the year. One will be in Santiago, Chile and one at Istanbul’s new international airport. They will be available to first and business class passengers and Elite Plus loyalty members. The Santiago lounge will be SkyTeam’s first in South America and will be available to eligible customers flying on Aerolíneas Argentinas, Aeroméxico, Air France, Alitalia, Delta Air Lines and KLM. The six SkyTeam carriers serving Istanbul -- Aeroflot, Air France, KLM, MEA, Saudia and Tarom -- will transition their operations to the city’s new airport after it opens in the fall; the new lounge will be twice as large as the current one. SkyTeam opened its latest lounge in Vancouver in November 2017.The alliance currently offers branded facilities in: Beijing, Dubai, Hong Kong, Istanbul, London Heathrow, Sydney and Vancouver.
