Sixt, the Germany-based ground transportation company, has appointed Premium Mobility Services as its franchise partner in New Zealand. Premium Mobility Services is the car rental subsidiary of the Giltrap Group, which, according to an announcement, is New Zealand’s leading automotive company with over 50 years in the market offering distribution, retail and vehicle financing. Sixt, according to the company, has a fleet of 280,000 cars in about 110 countries. The partnership, according to the announcement, leverages Sixt’s extensive experience in mobility and the Giltrap Group’s potential to shape the future of the mobility market in New Zealand with the launch of an innovative car subscription model. Sixt New Zealand will be open to customers in four cities beginning Dec. 1, with additional branches in cities and airports to come.
