Oakwood, the serviced apartment provider, is requiring all guests to wear face masks in indoor public areas at its properties. More than 80 properties globally will enforce the safety precaution, which follows the launch of Oakwood Clean 360, a program that details the brand’s new measures aimed at meeting the health and safety challenge of COVID-19.

The company said all of its associates are equipped with masks to assist guests who do not have one. Dean Schreiber, CEO, said the company recognizes the need to introduce enhanced precautions to provide guests “with a safe sanctuary to call home.” Oakwood had previously noted several benefits of serviced apartments as far as health and safety, including guests being able to: cook meals within the apartment, wash their own clothing and towels and clean and disinfect the unit as often as they wish.
