McCormickThe Global Business Travel Association has announced the departure of Michael W.
McCormick as executive director and COO, a position he has held since 2009. McCormick will be succeeded as COO and executive director by Scott Solombrino, but remain in an advisory role to ensure a smooth transition as GBTA prepares for the 51st edition of its annual Convention this August in Chicago.
Solombrino recently left his position as president and CEO of Dav El/Boston Coach Chauffeured Transportation Network after 43 years. He has held the position of president of GBTA’s Allied
SolombrinoLeadership Council for more than 20 years. The role of ALC president will be assumed by Dorothy Dowling, who previously served as the Council’s Vice President.
Radisson Hotel Group has announced three executive appointments in the Asia Pacific region. Bram Borrenbergs has been named vice president, Human Resources, Asia Pacific. Borrenbergs, a native of the Netherlands, worked at the European Commission in Brussels, before spending 15 years with NH Hotel Group. Most recently he was with H Hospitality Collection, in Abu Dhabi.
Greg Farrell, now vice president, Design and Technical Services, Asia Pacific, joins Radisson Hotel Group from Hong Kong, where he was executive director of Aedas, a leading global architecture and design practice.
The company has also named Yeo Hui Leng as general counsel, Asia Pacific. She has 20 years of legal experience and joins Radisson Hotel Group from Wah Hin & Co, a Singapore-based investment company, where she held the position of Senior Vice President and Group General Counsel.
Dots & Lines, an Atlanta-based boutique marketing and communications consultancy, has welcomed Bill Bond, a veteran travel industry consultant. Bond brings over 20 years of marketing and business development experience within the corporate travel industry, as well as over 10 years of experience in the hotel industry.
Prior to joining Dots & Lines, Bond was the director of global marketing and sales support for Radius Travel, and also previously worked as a director of marketing for BCD Travel.
