Air France-KLM has named Marjan Rintel as president and CEO of KLM; she is to assume the role on July 1 after current president and CEO Pieter Elbers steps down. Rintel is currently president and CEO of Dutch Railways, where she has worked since 2014. Prior to that, she worked for KLM for 15 years in various positions in operations, sales and marketing.
BWH Hotel Group, operator of Best Western, has named Ron Pohl as its first president of international operations as well as president of WorldHotels, a collection of more than 300 independent properties that was acquired by BWH in 2019. He joined the organization in 2007 and previously served as senior vice president and COO. Prior to joining the company, Pohl spent 25 years with Boykin Management Company and Marriott Corporation.

Festive Road, the travel and meetings management consultancy, has named Alex Kington to its UK team as a marketing professional and Stef Tschida to its US team as a communications executive. Kington previously held head of marketing roles for travel management companies Clarity and TAG before establishing her own marketing consultancy in 2017. Tschida worked at CWT for 10 years, most recently as director of global communications before she established her own consulting company.


Club Quarters Hotels named Edward Maynard as COO, Charlie Katz as corporate director of global guest services and Aaron Bailey as corporate director of global operations. Maynard has extensive hospitality experience with a number of brands including Public Hotels, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Morgans Hotel Group. Katz has worked for Mondrian and Kimpton, among others. Bailey has been with Club Quarters for 14 years.
