Accor has named Shelley Perkins to the role of senior vice president of talent and culture in the Pacific. With over two decades of experience, she joins Accor Pacific from the Rosewood Hotel Group, where she was based in Hong Kong for the past three years as chief talent and culture officer. Prior to this role, Perkins worked for Accor in Paris as global senior vice president, talent management, with a focus on global talent acquisition and development for Fairmont, Raffles and Swissôtel (FRHI). This followed her position as vice president at FRHI from 2014 where Accor retained her services after acquiring the group in 2016.

Direct Travel, Inc.
has named Ian Race to lead its corporate sales team across all of Canada, unifying the Canadian business development efforts of the travel management company. He will continue in his current role as senior vice president, corporate sales and business development for both the company’s Canada West and Canada East regions. Prior to joining what was then Vision Travel (which later merged with Direct Travel) in 2005, Race worked in sales roles for Navigant International and City Express Airlines, among others.

CWT, the travel management platform, announces that its CEO, Mchelle McKinney Frymire, has been appointed to the United States Travel and Tourism Advisory Board by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. In her role, she will provide the Secretary with advice and counsel on issues and concerns that affect the travel and tourism industry. Commenting on her new role, Frymire said: “I am honored to have been appointed to such an important position, and look forward to serving alongside the other board members on behalf of our industry and our country as the travel and tourism industry continues its recovery.”
