KDS, the travel and expense management provider, has appointed Roxana Bressy to be chief executive officer, succeeding outgoing CEO Dean Forbes who is leaving to pursuing other interests.
Bressy, who has been with KDS for six years, comes to the position from her role as chief financial officer and executive VP of business operations. Previously she served as CFO and HR director at medical device manufacturer Nobel Biocare, and held management roles at Hewlett Packard subsidiary Mercury Interactive, software startup Total Immersion and Japanese conglomerate Hitachi.
Earlier this year, KDS was acquired by American Express Global Business Travel. KDS will continue to operate as a separate business unit. In another executive appointment, Oliver Quayle has been named VP of product marketing and innovation for GBT and KDS.
Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has named Michael Dean as chief development officer, Americas. Dean joins Carlson Rezidor from GE Capital, where he was part of the team that created a construction lending program.
Prior to GE Capital, he served in strategic leadership roles at Saratoga Hotel Group, Intell Management & Investments and Rockgate.
Lufthansa Group has announced that Tamur Goudarzi-Pour will become vice president of sales, The Americas, based at the company’s US headquarters in East Meadow, NY.
Goudarzi-Pour joined the Lufthansa Group in 1998 and in 2003, was named general manager in Iran before becoming director for Central Europe. Since 2014 he’s held the position of VP of sales in the Middle East & Africa for Lufthansa German Airlines.
White Lodging Services, which currently operates 165 hotels in 19 states, has announced a reorganization of its senior leadership team. Chief financial officer Ken Barrett has been promoted to CEO. Dave Sibley, currently CEO, will become the chief operating officer of the company's full service portfolio replacing Keith Daub, who will retire at the end of the year.
Barrett has over 25 years experience in the hotel industry working in finance, operations, asset management and business development. Sibley has spent most of his 33 year career in operations.
Starbucks Corporation has named Kevin Johnson president and chief executive officer, effective April 3. Current chairman and CEO Howard Schultz will be named executive chairman. In this new role Schultz will continue to serve as chairman of the Board.
Johnson has been a Starbucks board member since 2009, and has served as president and chief operating officer since March 2015. Johnson's career includes 16 years at Microsoft and five years as CEO of Juniper Networks. At Microsoft, he led worldwide sales and marketing and became the president of the Platforms Division.
