Rocco Forte Hotels has promoted Rachel Ellen to group finance director; she had been head of finance. In addition to managing the central finance team, Ellen will be responsible for providing financial leadership to the group and its hotels. She joined the company 11 years ago and previously worked at KMPG in its leisure and tourism division.


Tramada Systems has named Joan England as director of business development, based out of the company’s North American headquarters in Dallas. She brings over 30 years of experience in business travel management and travel technology to her position. She had been president of C Suite Strategies, a consultancy; and has also worked at American Express and Carlson Wagonlit Travel.


International Airlines Group has announced that Sean Doyle will become CEO of Aer Lingus. He is currently director of network, fleet and alliances for British Airways. Doyle joined British Airways in 2003 and had undertaken roles in various divisions since then, culminating in his appointment to the airline’s executive management committee in 2016.


ACTE Global (Association of Corporate Travel Executives) has named Stephanie Smook as regional director for Europe/Middle East/Africa; she has been serving in this role in an interim capacity since July 2017. Smook began her career at ACTE as education program manager for EMEA in March 2014. Prior to joining ACTE Global, she worked as a corporate travel buyer for Nike Europe.


Amadeus Travel Channels has appointed Angel Gallego as executive vice president of the corporations segment. He will work on the company's Live Travel Space, which connects buyers, suppliers and travel agents and provides travel content to third-party sellers. Gallego previously worked at Amadeus for 15 years, at various times as Asia/Pacific president; as vice president of distribution in Western Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and as Latin America director.
