Yotel has appointed Jason Hsiang as senior vice president of development for North America. He will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and closing joint venture agreements, acquisitions and long-term management agreements for new Yotel, Yotelair and Yotelpad projects across the US and Canada. Hsiang has previously worked as senior vice president of development for Sixty Hotels.
Naples Hotel Group has named Michael MacCallum as regional vice president of operations; he will oversee operations for a portion of the company’s managed portfolio. With many years in hospitality, MacCallum was most recently an area manager with Island Hospitality.
Oakwood Worldwide, the serviced apartment company, appointed TJ Spencer as vice president global sales, Christine Moore as vice president global marketing and Tiffany Felix as vice president global corporate services, enterprise risk and compliance. The announcements, said the company, support Oakwood’s transformation strategy as it looks to accelerate long-term growth. Spencer has been with Oakwood since 1991 and has served in a wide variety of sales and operations roles; Moore has been with Oakwood since 2011; and Felix joined the company last year after having worked at American Apparel.
Associated Luxury Hotels (ALH) has announced that David Gabri will retire as chairman on March 1 but will remain on the company’s board of directors. Associated Luxury Hotels is the parent of Associated Luxury Hotels International and Worldhotels, both of which specialize in representing hotels globally. As part of the succession planning, Josh Lesnick became ALH’s president and CEO in March 2017 and Mark Sergot became ALHI’s chief sales officer at the same time.
