Most (61%) US adults, and 69% of those who traveled by air domestically for leisure or business at least annually before the pandemic, are in favor of a vaccine mandate for domestic flights, according to a new report from Morning Consult, a research company. Given the broad support for vaccine requirements, according to Lindsay Roeschke, a Morning Consult analyst,  airlines will likely benefit from tightening their rules. Those who are vaccinated against COVID-19 tend to be more concerned about air travel than the unvaccinated, according to the report, and knowing that their fellow passengers have been vaccinated may give them the confidence needed to travel in the upcoming holiday season. Other results of a Morning Consult survey showed:

• 49% believe vaccinations should definitely be required for international and 15% saying it probably should be required.

• 33% said vaccinations should definitely be required for staying gin a hotel with 21% saying it probably should be.

• 25% said vaccinations should definitely be required for renting a car and 18% saying it probably should be required.
