Marriott International announced a new work-in-hotel plan for members of its Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program. The “work anywhere” product offers: Day Pass, for using a room from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Stay Pass, combining a Day Pass with an overnight stay; and Play Pass, which includes a business concierge, supervised kids’ activities, office/study spaces and family experiences. Stephanie Linnartz, group president-consumer operations, technology and emerging businesses, said that working remotely doesn’t necessarily have to mean working from home “where blurred lines between personal and professional lives can create distractions and stress.” All of the options include fast WiFi; clean and disinfected places to work; ample desk space with a comfortable chair and nearby outlets; access to coffee, bottled water and food; and use of hotel perks like the gym and pool. They also offer points in the Marriott Bonvoy program. Hilton recently announced WorkSpaces by Hilton, a work-from-hotel solution in the US and the UK that provides a private room, Hilton CleanStay cleanliness program, food and beverage, comfortable desk and chair, free WiFi, hotel amenities as available and Hilton Honors points.
