Lyft, the car sharing company, has expanded its Lyft Concierge service to provide access to organizations of all sizes. Previously available only to a subset of partners, Concierge can now be used by any organization to request or schedule rides for other people. With Concierge, companies can access real-time ride tracking, reduce the cost of their transportation programs, and enjoy 24-hour customer support. To get Concierge, a company must sign up for a Lyft business account and add payment details. Once the account is created, a ride can be requested for anyone else – or even be scheduled up to a week in advance. When a ride has been requested for someone, the individual will receive a text message notification with details. Among the ways Lyft Concierge can be used is providing courtesy rides for clients.
