Tampa – The dual-branded Hampton Inn by Hilton Tampa Downtown Channel District and Home2 Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Channel District has opened, bringing a total of 213 new rooms to downtown Tampa. The property is steps from the Tampa Convention Center. The dual-brand concept creates enhanced and larger communal areas than would be standard at a stand-alone hotel. There are two distinct dining areas – each catering to the needs of the brand’s respective guests – as well as a shared 24-hour business center, fitness center and outdoor rooftop pool. There is meeting space for up to 150 people and a Starbucks store. Hampton Inn guests get free breakfast, On the Run breakfast bags and free WiFi. Home2 Suites guests have all-suite accommodations with full kitchens. They also enjoy free WiFi and breakfast.
Madrid – Aloft Madrid Gran Vía has opened with 139 rooms, each with a 49-inch TV with Plug & Play connectivity and free WiFi. Amenities include a rooftop Splash Pool, the brand-standard WXYZ Bar and the Re:Fuel dining concept with fresh food available on a self-serve, buffet basis 24/7. The Re:Charge fitness center is open 24/7.
Greenwood, Ind. – The 94-suite Residence Inn by Marriott opened 17 miles from downtown Indianapolis and 21 miles from Indianapolis International Airport. Each suite has a full kitchen with a coffeemaker, microwave oven and residential-sized appliances. Amenities include complimentary breakfast, free WiFi, 24-hour food and beverage market, onsite laundry room, indoor pool, fitness center and a meeting room. The hotel hosts weeknight evening gatherings.
West Hollywood, Calif. – 1 West Hollywood has opened with an emphasis on sustainability, including an organic vegetable garden and energy-efficient zoning of air conditioning. The 285-room property has 14,000 square feet of event space, a business center and several restaurants and lounges.
Vilnius, Lithuania – The 164-room Hilton Garden Inn Vilnius City Centre has opened on the main street of the capital, a 10-minute walk from the Old Town and three miles from Vilnius International Airport. Amenities include free WiFi, a fitness center and meeting space for up to 160. There is a restaurant, a lobby bar and a 24-hour market.
Grand Junction, Colo. – The 92-room Tru by Hilton Grand Junction Downtown has opened in the heart of downtown. The property features a 2,880-square-foot lobby with areas for guests to work, play games, eat and relax, along with a 24/7 “Eat. & Sip.” Market. There is fast and free WiFi, lobby tablets and accessibility to outlets everywhere. There is also a fitness center.
