Oslo – The Clarion Hotel The Hub has opened with 810 rooms, making it the largest property in the Choice Hotels International portfolio and the largest in the city. The hotel has two bars and a rooftop restaurant. It has 22 meeting rooms for up to 2,000 attendees.
Washington, DC – Conrad Washington, DC has opened with 360 rooms and 32,000 square feet of meeting space. It is adjacent to CityCenter DC, a 10-acre mixed use development two blocks from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and club level. Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows and 55-inch HDTV’s.
Fort Lauderdale – The 209-room Dalmar has opened, part of the Tribute portfolio, Marriott’s collection brand. The 25-story property has five food and beverage outlets, including a rooftop bar; an infinity pool and fitness center; 14,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space; and a yoga studio. Rooms are equipped with iPads and there are 55-inch HDTV flat screens in standard rooms and 65-inch TV’s in all suites.
Taipei – Kimpton Da An Hotel has opened in the Da’an district with 129 rooms. The hotel offers morning yoga on the rooftop, free fitness and wellness classes and a daily social hour in the lobby. Amenities include The Tavernist restaurant and coffee and tea served in the lobby through the day.
Houston – InterContinental Houston-Medical Center has opened with 354 rooms next to the Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest medical complex. The property features a club level, two restaurants, an outdoor pool and a fitness center. There is 18,000 square feet of meeting space.
Atlanta – Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta-Buckhead has opened; it was formerly the Doubletree Hotel Buckhead. The hotel has two restaurants and The Shop, a 24-hour grab-and-go retail space. Rooms feature a work desk and ergonomic desk chair; and an in-room hospitality center with a mini-fridge, microwave oven and Keurig coffee maker. Amenities include free WiFi, 24-hour business center and fitness center. There is also 6,700 square feet of meeting space.
Hong Kong – Rosewood Hong Kong has opened with 322 rooms in the Victoria Dockside district on the shores of Victoria Harbor; more than 80 percent of the rooms have harbor views. The hotel offers the Manor Club executive lounge with butler service, eight food and beverage outlets and 91 suites.
