San Francisco — The 686-room Hyatt Regency San Francisco Downtown SoMa has opened in the South of Market neighborhood in what was formerly the Park Central San Francisco following a $70 million renovation. All rooms feature 55-inch smart TVs with live streaming, technology hubs with multi-ports for USB-wireless charging, refrigerators and free Starbucks coffee and tea. The property has an upgraded fitness studio, lobby bar, restaurant, 30,000 square feet of meeting space and a Regency Club slated to open in the spring.
New York — Hotel Riu Plaza Manhattan Times Square has opened, the Spanish hotel chain’s second property in New York. The 656-room property features a Grab&Go cafeteria in the lobby, gym, restaurant and free WiFi. Karuizawa, Japan — Hotel Indigo Karuizawa has opened, the second property for the brand in Japan. The 155-room hotel is located less than two miles from Karuizawa station. Amenities include a restaurant and bar, public bath and a spa.
Melbourne, Australia — Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park, the second Hyatt Place hotel in Melbourne and Australia, has opened in Caribbean Park, a mixed-use business district outside the city’s central business district. The 171-room property features a breakfast bar, restaurant and bar, The Market serving fresh meals anytime, a fitness center, free WiFi and 2,163 square feet of meeting space.
Cottonwood, Ariz. — SpringHill Suites by Marriott Cottonwood has opened, the first Marriott branded hotel in the city. The hotel offers a fitness center, meeting room, outdoor pool, free WiFi, electric car charging stations, and free breakfast and WiFi.
London — Synergy The Strand has opened in The City within walking distance of the Thameslink train station. The property comprises 12 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, all of which are entirely plastic-free. The units feature dishwashers, washer/dryers and flat-screen Smart TVs. Synergy is a California-based serviced accommodation provider.
Bath – Hampton by Hilton Bath City has opened with 202 rooms in the center of the city, 40 minutes from Bristol City Airport and less than a half-mile from Bath Spa Station. Rooms feature 55-inch TVs, mini-fridges and ergonomic work stations. Amenities include free WiFi and breakfast, fitness center and business center.
