Banjarmasin, Indonesia – Best Western Hotel Banjarmasin has opened in Kalimantan, the Indonesian part of Borneo. The 106-room property is close to local offices and government buildings and a half-hour drive from the city’s Syamsudin Noor International Airport. Each room offers flat-screen TV’s, mini-bars, complimentary WiFi and room service. There are two restaurants, a rooftop bar, four meeting rooms and a ballroom.
Dubai – Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living has opened in the center of old Dubai with 428 rooms and 192 apartments. It has a spa, pool, fitness center and tennis courts. There are six meeting rooms, as well as a ballroom accommodating up to 300 people.
Panama City, Panama – The Santa Maria, a Luxury Collection Hotel & Golf Resort, has opened a few minutes from the city center, the first for the brand in the country. Located near several office parks, the 182-room hotel has a championship golf course, several restaurants and 18,000 square feet of meeting space.
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Crowne Plaza Riyadh-RDC Hotel and Convention Center has opened with 326 rooms in the Al Ra’aidah Digital City, a mixed-use district 25 minutes from the international airport. It has 129,000 square feet of exhibition and conference space, including a three-level circular conference center. The hotel has an outdoor pool, health club, business center and a variety of restaurants.
Nairobi – DoubleTree by Hilton Nairobi Hurlingham has opened 13 miles from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, the first for the brand in the country. The hotel has a restaurant, lounge, 24-hour gym, pool and meeting space for up to 250 people.
Kearney, Mo. – The SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Kearney has opened with 41 rooms and four suites, all with microwaves and mini-refrigerators. There is an outdoor pool, grills for guest use, complimentary breakfast and free WiFi. The property is 25 minutes from Kansas City, Mo.
