Suzhou, China – Radisson Suzhou has opened in the Suzhou Science and Technology Town, which houses emerging industries such as high-tech innovation and new energy. The 138-room property, located 30 minutes from Wuxi Shuofang Airport and 90 minutes from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, has several restaurants, a fitness center, 7,180 square feet of meeting space and free WiFi.
Atlanta – Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead has opened with 127 rooms and 10 suites, the first for the brand in Atlanta. The property, formerly Mandarin Oriental Atlanta, has extensive meeting space, a 15,000-square-foot spa and multiple dining options. Rooms start at 482 square feet with expansive bathrooms and deep soaking tubs.
Berlin – The 118-room Hotel Indigo Berlin-East Side Gallery has opened. All guest rooms are equipped with USB outlets, a 43-inch Smart TV and complimentary WiFi. There is an onsite restaurant and a rooftop bar.
Kuala Lumpur – Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur has opened, marking the brand’s entry into the extended stay segment in Southeast Asia. The property is located minutes from the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Center, the nation’s largest exhibition center. The 298-room property is the largest Hyatt House in the world, featuring a restaurant, 3,200 square feet of meeting space, a 24-hour workout room, infinity sky pool and a rooftop bar.
Oslo – The 233-room Radisson Oslo Airport Hotel West has opened about a mile and a half from Oslo Airport and a 20-minute train ride from the city center. It offers a restaurant, a bar and a fitness room. There are 12 meeting and conference rooms.
Cape Town – AC Hotel Cape Town Waterfront has opened; it’s a 25-minute drive from Cape Town International Airport and within the city’s central business district. This is the first for the brand in the Middle East and Africa region. The 188-room property has an AC Lounge, a working area by day and social hub at night; an AC Market for grab and go items; and an AC Library.
Smyrna, Tenn. – The dual-branded Tru by Hilton Smyrna Nashville and Home2 Suites by Hilton Smyrna Nashville has opened with a total of 167 rooms. The hotels have two distinct dining areas, as well as a shared 24-hour fitness center and outdoor heated pool. The Tru offers a free “Top It” breakfast bar, a 2,880-square-foot lobby and a 24/7 Eat & Sip market. There is free WiFi, a social media wall, lobby tablets and outlets everywhere. The Home2 Suites units have full kitchens, and the property features the Spin2 Cycle combined laundry and fitness area, Home2 MKT for grab and go items and free breakfast.
