Allentown, Pa. — Hyatt Place Allentown/Lehigh Valley (109 rooms) and Hyatt House Allentown/Lehigh Valley (96 rooms) have opened as a dual-branded property that houses the Aster event center with 5,900 square feet of meeting and event space. The hotels also boast extensive indoor and outdoor seating areas with a firepit and grilling area, sundeck and outdoor dining areas. The ground level offers a 24-hour fitness center, a 2,400-square-foot pool area, and the 24/7 H market with grab-and-go options. Other amenities include free breakfast and WiFi.
Spring, Texas — The Hotel Indigo Spring-Woodlands area has opened. The 103-room property offers a restaurant and bar, a lakeside pool, a fitness center and private event space.
Albany, Australia — The 108-room Hilton Garden Albany has opened overlooking the Albany Waterfront Marina in this western Australia city; it is the first Hilton Garden Inn in Australasia. Located within walking distance of the city center, the property is a 20-minute drive from Albany Airport, the largest airport in the Great Southern region. Rooms feature free WiFi, 55-inch HDTVs and work desks with ergonomic chairs. Amenities include a 24-hour fitness center; a restaurant and bar; and The Shop, open 24 hours a day for grab-and-go snacks and a self-serve coffee bar. There is 1,722 square feet of meeting space.
Chicago — The Canopy by Hilton Chicago Central Loop (215 rooms) and Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Central Loop (135 rooms) have opened as a dual-branded property. Together, the hotels offer two restaurants, two meeting spaces, a fitness center and an outdoor terrace space. The Canopy is located in the historic former headquarters of the Chicago and North Western Railway.
