Lusaka, Zambia – The 162-room Holiday Inn Lusaka has opened in the Embassy District, a 20-minute drive from the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. It is housed in the Western Wing of the InterContinental Lusaka Building in close proximity to most embassies, government and corporate offices. Thirty of the rooms are long-stay suites. Amenities include a restaurant and bar; and IHG Connect, which provides a seamless Internet experience.
Dubai – The Staybridge Suites Dubai Al-Maktoum Airport has opened with 262 rooms, providing easy access to the airport, key business districts and Expo 2020 Dubai, now scheduled to begin late in 2021. Each unit features a kitchenette with a refrigerator, dishwasher and countertop burner, as well as a workspace and living area. Amenities include free breakfast and Wi-Fi, a three-times-weekly social gathering, an outdoor pool and a health club.
Lincoln, R.I. – The 107-suite Residence Inn Providence Lincoln has opened 18 miles from T.F. Green International Airport and 10 minutes from downtown Providence. The hotel offers studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. Rooms feature large, well-lit work desks, ergonomic chairs and free high-speed Wi-Fi. Each suite has a full kitchen and access to streaming entertainment. Amenities include free breakfast and Wi-Fi, 24-hour market, weeknight social gatherings and an onsite laundry room.
Gwalior, India – Park Inn by Radisson Gwallior opened just three miles from the railway station and seven miles from the airport. The property offers a restaurant and 24-hour room service. Deluxe rooms offer private terraces while superior rooms provide free Wi-Fi and mini-fridges. There is also a fitness center.
Sydney – Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport has opened, the first airport hotel for the brand in the country. The 247-room property has two meeting rooms, a business center, self-service laundry and on-site parking. Amenities include grab-and-go breakfast and coffee available 24/7.
Washington, D.C. – The 252-room citizenM Washington DC Capitol has opened with seven meeting rooms and a rooftop bar. There is only one room type with an extra-large, king-size bed, fast and free Wi-Fi and an “ambiance-controlling” MoodPad. Amenities include a hotel “kitchen” for 24/7 food and snacks.
