Munich, Germany — Scandic München Macherei has opened with 234 rooms in the Die Macherei quarter. The hotel features airy living room-style lounges and spacious co-working areas. Conventional conference rooms have also been replaced by two private rooms that are ideal for shorter meetings. The property offers a restaurant and bar, and a gym.

Portland, Maine — The 102-room Cambria Hotel Portland Downtown Old Port has opened adjacent to the headquarters of several publicly traded corporations, with easy access to other major employers. Amenities include multipurpose indoor and outdoor spaces for work or relaxation, including an indoor-outdoor rooftop bar; a restaurant; covered parking; a fitness center; and 2,000 square feet of meeting space.

Huangshan, China — Hyatt Place Huangshan Train Station, the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Huangshan, has opened with the brand’s standard amenities like free WiFi and breakfast, 24-hour food offerings and 24-hour fitness center. The 180-room property is a three-minute drive from the rail station and a 25-minute drive from the airport.

Salt Lake City — The 700-room Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City has opened as the only hotel directly adjoining the Salt Palace Convention Center. Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, separate seating areas and digital room key entry via the World of Hyatt app. There are four dining venues and 60,000 square feet of meeting space.

Upland, Calif. — The 115-room SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Upland has opened. Rooms feature large flat-screen TVs, microwaves and mini-fridges. Amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness center, guest laundry, meeting room, business center, and free breakfast and WiFi. The hotel is a short drive from Ontario International Airport.
