IHG Signs 25-Year Agreement to Continue to Manage Willard Hotel in Washington DC

IHG Hotels & Resorts announced a new 25-year management agreement with Willard Associates for The Willard InterContinental hotel, the historic hotel in Washington, DC. The hotel is part of The Willard Center, which also has offices and retail. Elie Maalouf, CEO – Americas for IHG, said the company is pleased to continue its partnership with Willard Associates. “We look forward to delivering many more years of memorable guest experiences at InterContinental Willard,” he said – “the landmark hotel in the nation’s capital.” Oliver Carr, Jr., chairman of Willard Associates, said the company looks forward to many years of continued collaboration with IHG which dates back to the reopening of the hotel in 1986. The Willard is a 12-story luxury property with 335 rooms, including 55 suites and 14 specialty suites. It has several restaurants and bars, a co-working center and 24,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
