GlobalStar, the international travel management organization, has entered into a strategic partnership with PaxFour to address claim management for corporate clients. PaxFour is a joint venture between Scandinavia’s and Germany’s largest claim companies, supported by affiliates in Europe. It specializes in claiming compensation for passengers in the event of delayed or canceled flights. GlobalStar has branded the new offering as ClaimStar, being part of its Star Suite of products and solutions. Steve Hartwell, president of GlobalStar, said the decision to sign with PaxFour was because of its long track record with corporate claims handling. He said PaxFour’s offering is unique because compensation is sent to the company rather than the passenger. Johan Fugmann, CEO of PaxFour, said a company with 30,000 annual trips has the potential to make up to $230,000 in compensation and that claims as old as six years can be processed so that the total claim during the first year could be more than $1.2 million.
