Maiden Voyage, a provider of female business traveler safety solutions, has joined with GlobalStar, the multi-national travel management organization, to increase the safety of both female and LGBTQ travelers globally. The partnership gives GlobalStar access to the full range of Maiden Voyage products and services. As legal and cultural nuances vary for both female and LGBTQ travelers, according to GlobalStar, having a TMC that is informed and can come up with a travel solution provides an increased level of safety for both travel buyers and travelers. The partnership, according to the announcement, will have a considerable impact on taking gender specific travel advice and pre-trip training to a much wider audience. Carolyn Pearson, CEO and founder of Maiden Voyage, said the company already works with a small number of TMC’s in the UK, but the partnership with GlobalStar will enable the organization to expand significantly and get its message out to organizations “floundering about giving gender-specific travel safety advice in a relevant and sensitive context.”
