The Global Business Travel Association has canceled its 2020 convention, scheduled for Denver in November, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The convention had originally been scheduled for the end of July. In a statement, the association’s board said it will be contacting members in the next few days regarding “next steps.” Until then, said the statement, the association appreciates members’ patience regarding any decisions about this year or the 2021 convention set for Orlando from July 17 to 21, 2021. The board offered a special thanks to the State of Colorado, the City of Denver, the Colorado Convention Center and VISIT Denver for their assistance throughout the past year in exploring all viable options for this year’s convention.
