Carey International, the chauffeured services and transportation company, and Gett, an on-demand transportation company, announced a strategic partnership to provide “complete ground transportation solutions for business travelers across the globe.” The partnership will see the two companies cooperatively develop integrated solutions for business travelers across many different intersecting avenues of each other’s operating models—including service offerings, sales, reporting and technology. The goal is to create a single, consolidated platform that fulfills the entire spectrum of ground transportation needs for managed travel programs. Gary Kessler, CEO of Carey International, said working with Gett represents a major step in “a strategy to provide more ways for business travelers to use our services and will, hopefully, inspire other ground transportation providers to work together for the benefit of managed travel programs.” The partnership, said Kessler, will allow the two companies to offer solutions for more traveler use occasions in more places than ever before, and, ultimately “will provide managed travel programs with a single platform from which to manage the majority of their ground transportation needs.”
