American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) and Amadeus have renewed their strategic long-term technology agreement “to address the challenges and opportunities of the evolving business travel sector,” according to an announcement.
The agreement will further strengthen Amex GBT’s B2B travel platform by using Amadeus’ technical capabilities “to help deliver an enriched, high-quality customer experience and operational efficiency.”
Rajiv Ahluwalia, executive vice president, global supplier partnerships for Amex GBT, said that having the most valuable marketplace in travel means delivering the best-in-class air, hotel and ground content, along with a full suite of servicing products and capabilities for clients. As a key partner, he said, “Amadeus is ideally placed to help us deliver value for customers and suppliers and continue to bring innovation into the marketplace.”
Amex GBT, according to the announcement, will use the Amadeus Travel Platform to offer the widest possible range of content, including NDC-sourced content, to customers in an efficient, scalable way through the Amex GBT marketplace. Image: Shutterstock
