The Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE) has suspended operations through May, according to a statement posted on its website. The COVID-19 pandemic, said the statement, has caused a sharp decline in travel demand across the industry, and that has resulted in the suspension. ACTE said it would continue to work to identify new dates and venues for the ACTE New York and Singapore Global Summits later this year. The organization said it would stay connected with members and associates through the ACTEConnect online community, “which will remain open and vibrant.” The community, said the statement, is a lively forum where members and organization leaders share their insights. The statement concluded that the industry is resilient and has been through tough times before, concluding, “We believe that by working together this time will be no different.”
