HRS, the hotel solutions provider, has named Jonathan Hamblett as senior vice president for hotel solutions in the Americas. He had been vice president of supplier relationships for BridgeStreet, the corporate housing company. Prior to that, he was vice president of supplier relations for Upside, a startup.
Associated Luxury Hotels International has named Michael Dominguez as president and CEO. For the past seven years he has served as chief sales officer for MGM Resorts International. Prior to that he was vice president of global sales for Loews Hotels.
Connect Airways has named Mark Anderson as CEO. Jointly owned by Virgin Atlantic, Stobart Group and fund manager Cyrus Capital Partners, the new entity will take control of regional carrier Flybe. Anderson joins from Virgin Atlantic, where he held the role of executive vice president, customer. Previously, he was senior vice president and managing director of Virgin Holidays.
Avani Hotels has appointed Javier Pardo as vice president of operations. He brings almost 20 years of hospitality experience throughout Europe, with his last posting as director of operations and commercial director for the NH Hotel Group. Avani has 24 properties in 15 countries with more than 20 hotels in the pipeline in Southeast Asia, South Korea, Australia, Tunisia, the Maldives, and the UAE.
