Charlotte, NC – A dual-branded Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott has opened; each property has 94 rooms or suites. The hotels share a heated outdoor pool, two patios, a fitness center and 1,385 square feet of meeting space. The Courtyard offers the Refreshing Business Lobby for work or relaxing, free WiFi and The Bistro for snacks, light meals and drinks. The Residence Inn has free breakfast and WiFi, grocery delivery service and 24-hour food and beverage market.
Tianjin, China – Fraser Place Binhai Tianjin has opened in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area. The property, geared to long-stay travelers, offers 224 rooms, from studios to two-bedroom apartments. Amenities include free WiFi, 24/7 room service, an all-day dining restaurant and meeting facilities.
Asheville, NC – The 136-room Cambria Hotel Downtown Asheville has opened in the center of the city. The hotel offers bathrooms with Bluetooth mirrors, a fitness center and 8,000 square feet of meeting space. There is a Cuban restaurant called Hemingway’s Cuba and a rooftop terrace with views of the mountains.
Dubai – Aloft City Centre Deira has opened here with 304 “loft-inspired” rooms and suites – including four “cinema-themed” suites. Rooms feature 49-inch LED TV’s and mobile-phone room key access. There are six dining options, including a 24/7 grab and go venue. There is a fitness center and an infinity pool.
Seoul – RYSE, a member of the Autograph Collection of hotels, has opened with 272 rooms, including 14 suites, each designed to highlight a prominent art piece from the hotel’s collection. There is a restaurant called Long Chim, as well as a bakery/cafe and rooftop bar and lounge. The hotel offers a fitness center and 15,000 square feet of meeting space.
