Today’s innovations are changing how corporate travelers plan and book travel, and what products and services they have available to them
New technologies have historically been the heralds of disruptive changes in the ways we travel. And of course, every disruption evokes the laws of unintended consequences – those unanticipated flaws that reveal themselves any time new solutions overtake quickly-outmoded ways of doing things.
Today, we find ourselves in the midst of another technology sea change, with a spate of new entrants such as AI, including gen AI, NDC and direct connect, virtual cards and digital wallets.
The BTE T&E Summit, coming Sept. 11-13 in New York City, welcomes three veterans of travel technology, Sam Hilgendorf, chief information officer at Fox World Travel, Oded Zehavi, co-founder and CEO of Mesh Payments, and Amy Padgett, SVP, Travel Ecosystem at Center, to lead a discussion unraveling the mysteries of these and other tech developments in the business travel space.
The aim of this session is to understand more fully how these innovations can enrich traveler experiences and realize the promise of a new digitally-powered travel ecosystem.
Since 2018, Hilgendorf has been responsible for the vision and execution of Fox's technology portfolio, which includes IT, business intelligence, product development, and project management. Zehavi is the co-founder and CEO of travel and expense management platform Mesh Payments. Previously, he served as Payoneer’s chief revenue officer, and led the launch of PayPal Middle East and Africa.
Padgett’s career in corporate travel and expense spans more than 20 years, including work with UATP, AirPlus International, CWT and Concur. With her recent appointment as senior VP at Center, she brings this experience to bear on solutions designed to make business travel easier for travelers and their customers.
The BTE T&E Summit’s interactive, intimate, invitation-only format allows corporate travel decision makers to network, brainstorm and collaborate, reaping valuable insights and strategies to deal with today’s hot topics and disruptive challenges.
